๐ซ โค๏ธ Not Enough Stars ๐
๐ โI like to play with the stars,โ a little girl told her pastor one day when he came to visit her. She was confined to bed because of a severe spinal deformity, and her bed was positioned so that she had a good view of the sky. She wanted it that way so she could see the stars. โI wake up a lot at night and canโt get back to sleep,โ she told the minister, โand thatโs when I play with the stars.โ
๐โโ๏ธ Her pastor, curious about what she meant by that, asked, โHow do you play with the stars?โ The child answered, โI pick out one and say, โThatโs Mommy.โ I see another and say, โThatโs Daddy.โ And I just keep on naming the stars after people and things Iโm thankful forโmy brothers and sisters, my doctor, my friends, my dog.โ And on and on she went, until at last she exclaimed, โBut there just arenโt enough stars to go around!โ
๐โโ๏ธ ๐โโ๏ธ Do you ever feel that way when you think about the many blessings God has showered on you ? Of course, you could never name all your physical, spiritual, temporal, and eternal blessings. But from time to time, itโs good to remember with gratitude His many gifts. As you do, like that little girl, youโll feel like exclaiming, โThere just arenโt enough stars to go around !โ
